The QR code (quick response code) is simply a visual representation of the PURL which can be scanned by a mobile phone or tablet. This eliminates the need to type in the PURL, but the recipient must have the proper mobile device and app in order to do this. That's why it's a good idea to display both a PURL and a QR code if you intention is to maximized traffic to the landing page.

Case Study #1

Direct Mail Trade Show Promotion

A local direct mail agency needed to boost their brand and their presence at an annual trade show. With the use of a small giveaway, variably-printed postcards, follow-up emails, Personalized URLs (PURLs) and QR codes, they were able to achieve highly successful results. Typically in previous trade shows only a small handful of 1 on 1 meetings at were attained in previous years (maybe 3-8 solid connections made). After this campaign they had 25 solid, one-on-one conversations.
